We are launching the ESRS Q&A tool at MATERIALITY ACADEMY, which is a database of questions and answers about reporting standards. Most importantly, it is not just a static database of questions, but includes a mechanism for asking new questions and getting answers to them.
I have been developing ESRS standards for over four years. MATERIALITY experts have been applying them in practice for nearly two years, producing over a dozen reports last year alone. Along the way, we encountered many doubts and dilemmas that we had to resolve by studying regulations, debating with experts, digging through EFRAG documents, and discussing with certified auditors. All the knowledge gathered in this way has so far been available only to MATERIALITY's consulting clients. From today, we are making it available to anyone who needs it.
Today we are officially launching the website www.esrs.pl. Through it, you can purchase access to the ESRS Q&A database. Access costs only PLN 100 per month. And for subscribers to our newsletter, we have a special discount code to get you started: I read the newsletter reduces the cost of access by 20% (code must be used by January 27).
How does ESRS Q&A work? It is simply a database containing questions about standards and answers to them. Questions and answers can be searched by the name of a given standard, by the number of a given disclosure requirement, or by any keyword or word.
The most important feature of ESRS Q&A is the ability to ask your own questions. If you cannot find the answer to your question in the database, simply ask it using the appropriate form. MATERIALITY experts will address your question immediately. How quickly? We will answer half of the questions within one business day, and 95% within three days. Sometimes a question concerns such a complex issue that it takes longer to prepare an answer.
I invite you to www.esrs.pl. If you want to check how ESRS Q&A works, you can do so before purchasing – a demo version is available on the website (it contains answers to only 10 questions and does not allow you to ask your own). After that, I invite those interested to purchase access. You can purchase access for a month, quarter, or year (the latter being cheaper). Companies that would like to purchase access for a larger group of employees are welcome to contact us directly. Similarly, in the case of universities and educational institutions, it is possible to purchase access for students and course participants.
I hope that ESRS Q&A will help many people who are learning and applying reporting standards in practice. We all encounter aspects of these standards that raise questions. However, it is very likely that someone else has already encountered the same problem, and the solution can be found in our database. 😊
