MATERIALITY is the patron of the SEG 2025 HR Congress

On April 8–9, 2025, the 13th SEG Congress of Listed Companies' HR Departments was held under the patronage of, among others, MATERIALITY.

The following issues were discussed during the Congress:

  • Enhancing Human Potential: The AI Skills Revolution
  • Psychological support for employees' children as a factor increasing well-being and effectiveness
  • Challenges related to due diligence processes and the role of human resources departments
  • Gender equality in organizations: An illusion
  • The most common mistakes when terminating employment contracts.

Artur Gazda, Due Diligence Manager at MATERIALITY, responding to questions from Dr. Mirosław Kachniewski, President of the Management Board of SEG, spoke about due diligence in the context of sustainable development and the role of human resources/HR departments in this process, explained what business risks affect the HR department, and discussed risk analysis by HR departments and internal audit as a risk management tool.

Piotr Biernacki, Chairman of the SEG Sustainable Development Committee and ESG Reporting Partner at MATERIALITY, moderated two discussions:

  • with Lucyna Brayshaw, Legal Advisor, Partner at Olesiński i Wspólnicy, and Natalia Mosur, Attorney, Senior Manager at Olesiński i Wspólnicy, on the protection of know-how, intellectual property, and employer secrets in an era of increasingly flexible and diverse employment models.
  • and Ewa Kurowska-Tober, Partner leading the IPT team at DLA Piper, and Agnieszka Lechman-Filipiak, Partner leading the labor law practice at DLA Piper, about the impact of the development of artificial intelligence on employee issues, including: the automation of HR processes and the protection of employees' personal data, decision-making algorithms and counteracting discrimination, and AI in monitoring employee performance.
