We support Ukraine with Open Yazdov

21 Mar 2022
Russia's aggression against an independent Ukraine is a shared drama of our global community. Freedom of choice, the right to self-determination and respect for borders are core values for us, the people who make up MATERIALITY. We believe in the power of empathy and cooperation, whereby even small gestures make a difference, which is why we support our Ukrainian neighbors through the activities of Open Yazd.

MATERIALS and Open Yazd.

The Open Jazdów Partnership is a community of residents, NGOs, urban activists, science and cultural institutions operating in the area of the Finnish House Estate in Jazdów, Warsaw.

The partnership operates on the values of sustainability, good neighborliness, cooperation, grassroots involvement, empathy, mutual respect and tolerance.

Amid the war crisis, Open Yazd has become involved in helping refugees from Ukraine. The aid includes accommodations, integration events and an artist residency program. At MATERIALITY, we believe that art allows us to confront such dramatic experiences as war and create a vision of a different, better future for all of us. We also believe in the power of empathy and collaboration, whereby even small gestures make a difference, which is why, to the best of our ability, we are supporting an art and cultural residency program for artists, activists and educators from Ukraine in Yazdiv. Wishing to be transparent in our actions, we would like to inform you that our support is financial - for one year, from March 2022 to March 2023, we contribute PLN 1000 to the Program's budget every month. However, the needs of the Program are much greater than our modest capabilities, so we strongly encourage our Partners and Friends to contribute to the activities of Open Yazdov together with us: https://jazdow.pl/wesprzyj/
