MATERIALITY at the Healthy Cities 2025 Congress

The Healthy Cities 2025 Congress took place on September 30 at the Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. The aim of this annual event is to develop solutions and guidelines for improving the quality of life in Polish cities.

 

The Healthy Cities 2025 Congress is divided into thematic blocks related to city life: safety and infrastructure, space and environment, economy and health, and education and society.

The section devoted to space and the environment featured a thematic discussion entitled „A new era of sustainability reporting: deregulation, simplification, consequences,” which addressed the following topics:

  • The Omnibus Package and Deregulation – Consequences for Local Governments, Businesses, and Cities
  • A new era of non-financial reporting – simplifications vs challenges
  • local government financing in the context of changing priorities
  • The role of cities in ESG reporting and sustainable development.

The discussion, moderated by Przemysław Oczyp (General Manager, Zero Waste Consulting Sp. z o.o.), was attended by:

  • Karolina Adamska-Wozniak (Managing Director, Responsible Business Forum; Member of the Congress Program Council)
  • Piotr Biernacki (SR TEG Member, EFRAG; ESG Reporting Partner, MATERIALITY, and lecturer at MATERIALITY ACADEMY)
  • Aleksandra Stępniak (Public Affairs Manager, VELUX)
  • Jakub Tatak (Member of the Management Board for Finance, LUX MED).
