Piotr Biernacki in an interview for Energetyka24

An article entitled “Piotr Biernacki: Financial institutions need ESG reports, not EU officials” appeared on the Energetyka24 website.

In an interview with Alicja Jankowska, editor at Energetyka24, Piotr Biernacki, member of the Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group at EFRAG and ESG Reporting Partner at MATERIALITY:  

  • discusses the current state of ESG regulation, 
  • explains what is included in the Omnibus package proposed by the European Commission on February 25, 2025, 
  • recalls that it is primarily financial institutions that need the data published in the reports, 
  • and also explains how ESG reporting works outside the European Union, e.g., in the US or China.
