At MATERIALITY, Justyna focuses on identifying innovations in sustainable development and incorporating new trends into the methodologies used in collaboration with MATERIALITY’s clients. She leads MATERIALITY ACADEMY—an educational platform that supports the development of employee competencies in the field of sustainable development.
For over 15 years, she has been working on transforming organizations toward sustainable operating models. She has been professionally involved in sustainable development since 2011. A licensed architect and graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (2004), she is a member of SARP and IARP, with experience in design, construction, and real estate development. She is a LEED AP BD+C (U.S. Green Building Council) and a Certified Passive House Designer (Passivhaus Institut Darmstadt).
Co-author of the Non-Financial Information Standard. Member of the Working Group on the Application of the EU Taxonomy within the Sustainable Finance Platform at the Ministry of Development and Technology (2023). As an expert, she participated in the work of advisory bodies of the Capital City of Warsaw, including the Municipal Urban Planning and Architecture Commission (2020–2022), the #Mieszkania2030 program, the Warsaw Roundtable on Climate Adaptation (2016/2017), and the Warsaw Climate Panel (2020). Initiator and evaluator of the Special Award for Climate-Friendly Solutions as part of the Mayor of Warsaw’s Architecture Award (since 2019). Co-author of the Warsaw Green Building Standard (2024) and the Responsible Building Renovation Assessment System (2025).
A graduate of the doctoral program at the College of Management and Finance at the Warsaw School of Economics (2022), she is currently a student in the Executive MBA program at the Warsaw University of Technology Business School. Author of academic publications; her research interests focus on the circular transition in business and cities. She also graduated from the School for Trainers in Empathy-Based Communication (2010).
Socially active: Representative for Sustainable Architecture on the Executive Board of OW SARP (2015–2019), co-founder of the SARP Regional Branch’s Sustainable Architecture Circle, initiator of the #architekcidlaklimatu campaign. She has collaborated with nongovernmental organizations on projects addressing violence against women (MaMa Foundation – A New Life Without Violence, 2010), women’s presence in urban spaces (MaMa Foundation — The City Through Women’s Eyes, 2012; Przestrzenie Foundation — Central Women’s Square, 2017). Winner of the Top Women in Real Estate 2021 award in the Green Building & Sustainability category. Recipient of the SARP bronze and silver badges.
